McAuley Community Services for Women is a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, Melbourne Congregation operating under an independent Board of Directors as in incorporated organisation.

As at August 2009 there are nine Board members of McAuley Community Services for Women.

McAuley Community Services for Women’s legal status is:

• A Company Limited by Guarantee
• A Registered Charity and holds an Endorsement for Charity Tax Concessions / holds Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) status (tax deductibility for donations)
• Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) Exempt
