McAuley seeks more funds to help violence victims

Family violence services are concerned funding will not keep pace with rising demand after the state government’s recent Royal Commission launch.
Kensington’s McAuley Community Services for Women chief executive Jocelyn Bignold said the Royal Commission would prompt many more women to seek support from the service. McAuley is the state’s only 24/7 safe house for women and their children escaping family violence. Read more
