Deliveroo came to our party!

McAuley House hosted a very special Christmas community lunch, made possible by the generosity of Deliveroo.

Because McAuley House has been designed as a welcoming and inclusive hub, the light-filled communal area was able to accommodate women and their children who’ve needed our services - either in the past or recently - as well as those who have continued to keep in touch via our social and recreational activities.

Delieveroo co-ordinated the donation of food supplied by local restaurants Phat Chicks Fried Chicken, Huong Viet and Lux Smith. (Here's one amazing stat which shows just how generous these restaurants were: Lux Smith told us they'd put together 10 kilograms of goat, red and yellow curries for the feast).

On the day, the tables were beautifully decorated, and volunteer carollers made the event even more special for the women and children who came along. We thank all who contributed to this wonderful day.
