Help us win a grant

This year, we have begun construction on a new state-of-the-art building that will provide safe and secure medium term housing for women to recover from the impact of homelessness; often due to violence and poor physical and mental health.

You can help us win a grant that will be used to set up an area of the new facility.

The new building is a 25-bed facility in Footscray. The purpose built hub will pioneer programs and services sensitive to women’s specific needs. Services will include education and employment, health, social and recreational programs.

McAuley Community Services for Women is applying for funding for modern equipment and fit out of the recreation and skills workshops meeting space for the new building. The program will engage with women from our residences and the community in relevant, practical, fun and useful learning which can make a real difference to their lives now and into the future. Critical to the success of the program is the provision of equipment for activities and a comfortable space for socialising and hosting workshops.

Since the building is a new facility, the room will require full fit out. Additionally, the room will require equipment for recreational activities such as sewing and musical and for the skills workshops such as computers.
