Welcome new members to the Board

Changes to our Board

McAuley Community Services for Women is delighted to welcome four new members to its Board, which is now chaired by Sonja Hood.

We welcome Rob Scenna, CEO of Catholic Church Insurances, Bridgid Connors, Chief Human Resources Officer at Monash University,  Sr Christine Coughlan, Ballarat based Sister of Mercy, and Angela Scaffidi, co-founder and managing partner of SenateSHJ. Together they bring a wealth of experience in strategic planning, human resources, financial management and communication to the Board.

Sonja Hood paid tribute to the three outgoing board members, Denis Moriarty, Kim Windsor, and Netty Horton.

“Between them, they have contributed 37 years to the organisation, taking it from its formative growth years and, more recently, to the opening of the new McAuley House,” Sonja said.

“The leadership of Denis has been outstanding, as have the contributions of Kim and Netty.”

“We have big shoes to fill, including setting a new strategic vision and direction to drive McAuley’s commitment to assisting and housing women and children who have experienced family violence and homelessness,” Sonja said.

The new members join continuing Board members Kath Tierney rsm, Mark Birrell, Michelle Cotter, Anita Morris, Louisa McNamara, and Matt Tilley.
