Corporate Services & Facilities Coordinator

Full time, ongoing

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated self starter who can effectively manage site facilities, assets and infrastructure to ensure provision of continuous service, supporting industry standards, relevant legislation, and current best practice. This is role will work from our Footscray central office and be responsible for management of our residential properties and office facilities within Victoria.

Ideally applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of three years experience directly relevant to the role in facilities, operations or office management.
  • Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in OH&S, compliance or risk management.
  • Strong administration and IT skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK).
  • Experience in supplier and contract management
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Highly organised with a strong focus on detail, process and procedural compliance.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a changing environment and effectively problem solve

Outreach case manager – Family violence tream

Part time

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Outreach Case Manager to join our Family Violence Team  to support women and children experiencing family violence and homelessness. The position is part time, 7 shifts per fortnight from 4 pm – 10 pm. The position is based in a positive and professional team with strong leadership, focused on empowering women through intensive and individualised case management support in the Western region.

A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or equivalent is required. Ideally applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • a sound understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and its impact on women and children.
  • knowledge of case management frameworks including strategies to produce effective outcomes for clients.
  • understanding of crisis intervention and management of clients with complex needs.
  • sound decision making and risk management skills.
  • the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external services, and build strong working relationships.
  • integrity and respect for those affected by homelessness and /or family violence.
  • experience in managing a case load according to a case management framework with specific exit plan options, employment and social inclusion strategies
  • ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader team delivering outcomes
  • knowledge of the Family Violence Protection Act and the Common Risk Assessment Framework and a sound understanding of homelessness, family violence and the effects it has on women and children
  • high level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

After Hours Children’s Worker – Family Violence

Part Time (10am – 4.30pm Saturday & Sunday only)

We have an opportunity for an experienced Children’s Worker to join our Family Violence Team supporting women and children experiencing homelessness and/or family violence. The position is part time, two shifts per week: 10 am – 4.30 pm every Saturday and Sunday. You will be well supported by a committed, collaborative team of workers with an emphasis on a family focus framework informed by trauma and attachment theories.

A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or equivalent is required. Ideally applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • experience in individualised case support and family centred practice
  • ability to provide dyadic and child-focussed interventions and group work to infants, children and their mothers
  • ability to provide parenting support to mothers
  • ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader team delivering outcomes
  • knowledge of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, Child Safe Standards and the Common Risk Assessment Framework
  • a sound understanding of family violence and the effects it has on women and children
  • high level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

Manager, Community Services

Full-time - 3 year contract

We have an opportunity for an experienced Community services professional to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Community Services, the Manager Community Services is responsible for the daily management and supervision of a newly created Team Leadership team.

To be successful in this role you will need to posses:

  • tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, community development or a related field.
  • experience in program management preferably in the family violence, mental health and/or homelessness sector.
  • experience in facilitating staff supervision, within strengths based approach and trauma informed practice framework.
  • demonstrated background or training relevant to working with clients with complex needs, including family violence, alcohol, drugs, CALD and/or mental illness.
  • demonstrated positive and effective stakeholder management with other agencies in a service or community network.
  • highly developed communication skills with clients and colleagues, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • experience in risk management including client and staff safety, confidentiality, duty of care, mandatory reporting, according to relevant legislation.

Team leader: Children’s Service

Full-time – 12 month contract

We have an opportunity for a Team Leader Children’s Services to join our Community Services team. The position is 38 hours per week (part time applications will be considered) in a team of staff with a desire to support women and children experiencing homelessness and/or family violence. You will be supported by a committed, collaborative team with an emphasis on a family focus framework.

A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or equivalent is required.
