McAuley House Footscray
McAuley House Footscray, opened in 2016, provides purpose-built safe and stable longer-term accommodation for women only.
With a stunning design, it promotes the dignity and wellbeing of the women who live there, all of whom have been homeless.
Take a tour of McAuley House:
McAuley House was designed with input from women and is one of a kind in Victoria.
It is central to our approach of providing the right housing option at the time it is needed: from 24-hour crisis accommodation through to a respite stay that will help preserve permanent housing.
Many women who have been homeless for a long time have few to no friendships, social networks.
McAuley House has many different spaces which allow for individual reflection, social friendship groups, and room for the whole community to come together.
